Morning Accident Sends Man to Hospital

SILVER LAKE – A man hospitalized this morning after a head-on collision told police he had no memory of the accident.
According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department accident report, police responded to the two-vehicle collision just after 6 a.m. today on West Ind. 14 near the intersection of South CR 200W in Silver Lake.
The report stated that a vehicle driven by Francis J. Marino, 21, South Graceland Avenue, Claypool, crossed the center line for an unknown reason and struck a second vehicle – driven by Arin E. Gelbaugh, 24, EMS B40B Lane, Leesburg – head-on.
Marino told police he did not remember anything about the accident and was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital to be treated for injuries. He complained of head pain.
Gelbaugh did not report any injuries.
Damage was estimated at between $10,000 and $25,000.
