Miller's Donates Comfort Kits To Red Cross

Posted
The Kosciusko Chapter of the American Red Cross recently received more than 100 comfort kits from employees of Miller’s Merry Manor in Warsaw and Miller’s Health System Corporate office.
Miller’s employees adopted the local Red Cross for their annual holiday project.
Staff donated hundreds of personal care items to be placed in bags for disaster comfort kits. These kits are given to each person the Red Cross offers assistance to after a house fire. The kits contain sufficient personal care items to help with their immediate needs following a disaster.
“We understand the need to be there for individuals at a time when they need help the most,” explained Jason Hill, Miller’s administrator. “The Red Cross is called in during the most difficult times. We’re proud to be able to assist them in this way.”
In addition, Jason Hill and Brad Harris, vice president of Healthcare Development, presented a $500 check to the Kosciusko chapter to help further the Red Cross mission.
Miller’s Merry Manor in Warsaw, operated by Miller’s Health Systems, is one of the company’s 32 Indiana care centers which have been challenged to expand their local involvement by asking the question “what can we do to make our community better?”, followed by a plan to act on their findings.
“We’re very proud of the contribution our employees make to the lives of their patients and co-workers each day,” said Harris. “But we don’t want to stop there. We want to work to make each community better as well. It’s a privilege to help the Red Cross in their mission to our local community.”
