A Milford woman is in fair condition at a Fort Wayne hospital after she reportedly ran a stop sign and her vehicle was struck by another car.
Nancy J. Hickman, 65, Lura Circle, Milford, complained of neck pain after the 5:35 p.m. Thursday accident at the intersection of CRs 100E and 450N, near Warsaw. She was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital and later transferred to Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne.
According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department report, Hickman was traveling on CR 100E and didn't see the stop sign. The intersection, where CR 450N Ts into CR 100E, was recently changed for all traffic to stop. Previously, there was only a stop sign for traffic on CR 450N.
The driver of the other car, Carrie A. Seiffert, 25, North Columbia Street, Warsaw, told police that she had stopped and was pulling onto CR 100E when she realized Hickman wasn't slowing to stop; she was unable to avoid the collision.
Hickman was cited for disregarding a stop sign.
Damage to each car was estimated at $2,500 to $5,000.
