Milford Teen Killed In Saturday Crash

A Milford teen died Saturday following an afternoon crash in northern Kosciusko County.
Kosciusko County officers and emergency personnel responded to a 3:37 p.m. 911 call of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Bowser Road and CR 300E, according to a press release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department. Officers arrived and located the driver of a Pontiac Grand Prix, identified as Chelsea L. Fetters, 18, Milford, in critical condition. She was immediately transported from the scene by Multi-Township EMS to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, with internal injuries.
Kosciusko County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team members arrived and initially determined that Fetters had been eastbound on Bowser Road, approaching CR 300E, and slowed for the stop sign. A Dodge pickup, driven by Jason P. Pressler, 40, Goshen, was southbound on CR 300E, approaching the intersection, according to the press release. Fetters suddenly pulled directly into the path of Pressler’s vehicle, the release states.
Kosciusko County FACT members were notified that at approximately 6:30 p.m., while at Lutheran Hospital, Fetters died from the injuries she received from the vehicular crash. FACT members stated that the crash is still under investigation.
Kosciusko County FACT also was assisted at the scene by members of the Milford Fire Department, Milford Police Department, Syracuse Police Department, Indiana State Police and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
