Milford Sunset Subject of Indiana Stamp

Posted
The U.S. Postal Service will issue an Indiana Statehood Forever stamp June 7 featuring a familiar scene for Kosciusko County residents.
The stamp, celebrating the 200th anniversary of Indiana’s statehood, features a photograph of a rural road and cornfield taken at sunset near Milford. The photographer is Michael Matti, who was born in Indonesia but moved to Milford when he was a boy.
Matti graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with degrees in photography and business then moved to Seattle, Wash. He describes himself as an outdoor enthusiast on his website, www.michaelmatti.com, where you can see more of his photography.
Matti’s Milford image was chosen to reflect Indiana’s agricultural history, according to information from the USPS. The stamp will be unveiled at 10 a.m. at the State Capitol in Indianapolis.
