Milford OKs Replacement of Departing Reserve Officer

Posted
MILFORD – Milford Town Council gave permission to seek a new reserve police officer after learning that one will resign at the end of the month.

Reserve Officer Matthew Harkness will resign effective Oct. 30, Town Marshal Rich Miotto told council Monday. Council also gave approval for a replacement stun gun at a cost of $650.

Council members also decided to do a little research before giving a former Milford company its final utility bill.

Joe Dock with Bio-Waste Processing spoke to council about what he thought their final bill should be. Council members were unsure if his idea was accurate because the meters for the plant had trouble working properly.

Council decided to comb through bills going back to 2007 before issuing a final bill.
