MILFORD — Milford Food Bank recently received a $10,000 donation from Doug Kauffman, of Elkhart County.
Kauffman has been a longtime supporter of the food bank’s ministry, and his most recent gift will directly help the food bank serve local organizations, according to a news release from the Milford Food Bank.
“We are so grateful for Doug’s generosity and his continued commitment to supporting our mission,” said Angie Deak, Milford Food Bank development manager.
Milford Food Bank relies on the support of individuals, organizations and donors to serve its organization partners who are caring for the growing number of people facing food insecurity. With this contribution, the food bank can continue its vital work of rescuing excess food and bridging the gap between food waste and the many hungry neighbors across northern Indiana and southern Michigan.
Milford Food Bank is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing food and hope to individuals and families across Michiana by ensuring local food pantries, recovery facilities, shelters, schools and churches have access to food and essential support.
