MILFORD - The Milford Town Council may have set a record for its shortest meeting - 14 minutes.
Todd Haines, Milford Fire Department chief, said the fire department's officers will be the same next year as this year. Haines will remain fire chief.
Dallas Winchester, utilities supervisor, said the water and sewer control systems will be checked at midnight Dec. 31 to assure they are operating properly.
The utilities department collected 86-1/2 loads of leaves. Winchester thanked the town for raking the leaves to the curb quickly.
He also said the salt and sand trucks are ready to go for the winter.
The town council will have its end-of-year meeting at 6 p.m. Dec. 27.
