MILFORD -- A Milford fifth grade elementary student has admitted to leaving a second threat inside a bathroom stall last week at the school.
Milford Police, along with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department Wawasee School Resource Officer, met with Milford Elementary/Middle School officials Tuesday at 3 p.m. for a student interview. School officials had obtained a confession from a fifth grade student as to his involvement in writing a second “copy cat” threat in a bathroom stall at the Milford Elementary/Middle School last week.
Milford Town Marshal Rich Miotto stated that the parents had provided permission for the interview. He also stated that the student was released to his parents and that the information regarding the incident will be forwarded to both the Kosciusko County Prosecutor and Probation Offices for further review and potential charges.
Marshal Miotto also stated that the initial written threat at the Milford Elementary/Middle School that was located in a bathroom stall on April 16th is still under investigation by his agency.
The Milford Police Department was assisted in the investigation by the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office, Probation Department, and the Sheriff’s Department.
