Warsaw Police responded to a report of persons involved in manufacturing methamphetamine at a local motel room Friday.
Upon arriving at the Days Inn at 2575 E. Center Street, Warsaw, officers could detect a strong odor emitting from a rented room there.
Police reported an occupant opened the door and items associated with the production of methamphetamine were seen, as well as three adults and two infants in the room.
The room was vacated. Two infants, 1 and 2, were removed from the room and eventually placed with Child Protective Services.
The chemicals in the room caused the responding officers and occupants to have burning of the eyes and throat. The infants were taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital by child protection workers. The motel room’s smoke and fire detector had been disabled by the occupants.
Five working meth bottle labs, precursors involved in the production of meth, and finished product were all found in the room and refrigerator according to police.
Some of those items-Ammonia, Coleman fuel, Sodium Hydroxide and Hydrochloric gas were all located in the room-all common products and results of Meth production, and are considered toxic.
Three adults were arrested and their charges as follows:
