ATWOOD - A woman suffered head injuries after a collision with a semi tractor-trailer Friday at the intersection of U.S. 30 and CR 800W, at approximately 12:45 p.m.
An eastbound semi-tractor-trailer, driven by Tony Bower, 40, Amboy, was crossing the CR 800W intersectionof U.S. 20 when a southbound GMC van, driven by Norine J. Martin, 27, Mentone traveled into the truck's path, according to sheriff's department reports.
Martin was flown to ParkView Hospital, Fort Wayne, by helicopter for treatment. She is in stable condition.
Bower suffered chest pain and was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital where he is in stable condition.
Bower was crossing the intersection on U.S. 30 when Martin failed to yield to the semi tractor-trailer's right-of-way.
