AKRON - A Mentone woman is in serious condition at a Fort Wayne hospital after being ejected from her car during a Wednesday morning accident near Akron.
Jebok Pak, 44, of North Broadway Street, suffered multiple fractures in the 8:59 a.m. accident on Ind. 14, 2,500 feet east of CR 850W. She was taken to Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester, and later transferred to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Police were unable to speak with Pak to get her account of the accident.
According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department report, Pak appeared to be eastbound on Ind. 14 when she went off the south side of the road into the soft gravel shoulder. Her car then left the road and rolled over three to four times, ejecting Pak. Police do not know whether she was wearing a seat belt.
