A Mentone man has been arrested for his alleged involvement in a November burglary in Warsaw.
Andrew Jeffery Horn, 41, of 3766 S. Columbus St., Mentone, was booked into the the Kosciusko County Jail at 11:10 p.m. Thursday on one count of burglary, a Class B felony. He is being held on $10,000 bond.Horn is accused of breaking into a residence at 225 Fort Wayne Avenue, Warsaw, and taking a laptop computer, computer speakers, a blue USB mouse, a printer, a flash drive, two subwoofer base speakers and a DVD player. The estimated values of the stolen items is about $3,820.
On Nov. 7, the resident at the Fort Wayne Avenue address, David Dilley, called to report the break-in, and when officers arrived to investigate, Dilley showed them a broken window in the front of the residence that he believed the burglar used to get to the deadbolt on his door.
At the time of the burglary, Dilley reportedly told police he suspected Horn was responsible for the crime because Dilley was dating Jessica Harrell, Horn's ex-girlfriend at the time.
In late November, Harrell told police that Horn allegedly had confronted her and showed her a flash drive that reportedly was from Dilley's computer. Harrell also told police she reportedly saw speaker boxes she believed to be Dilley's in a garage at the residence of one of Horn's relatives.
Later Harrell told police that she heard that Horn had given the laptop reportedly stolen from Dilley's home to James Maxwell.
In December, investigators spoke with Maxwell, who said Horn allegedly asked for help accessing a laptop computer. Maxwell said Horn did not give him the laptop, and he only was trying to access the device to see what was wrong with it.
Maxwell gave the laptop to investigators, and denied any involvement with the burglary.
