Manchester Delays Start of School

Posted
NORTH MANCHESTER – Due to unexpected delays in the delivery of materials and supplies for Manchester Community Schools’ renovation projects, and to ensure that it has time to clean the schools and give teachers adequate time to get their classrooms ready for the start of school, MCS has made the decision to delay the start of school until Aug. 20.
The last student day will be May 30. Manchester Junior-Senior High School will have its graduation on June 6. Registration dates will not change.
“We would like to emphasize that this decision is being made now to ensure that we will be ready for the first day of school. I would like to thank our parents, students and staff in advance for their understanding of this decision. We wanted to notify everyone as soon as possible so that families can make necessary changes to their summer plans,” said Bill Reichhart, MCS superintendent.
