NORTH MANCHESTER - North Manchester Public Library will celebrate National Brownie Day Saturday.
Residents are invited to bake their favorite brownie recipe and bring it to the library to enter the "Books and Brownies" recipe contest on Saturday.
Entry forms can be picked up at either circulation desk. Brownies will be available for tasting and voting while supplies are available. Winner will be announced Dec. 10.
Throughout the month of December, children may help decorate the library Christmas tree.
A special holiday ornament crafting station will be set up, where visitors to the children's department will be able to create one-of-a-kind ornaments for the tree.
The Friends of the Library will hold a used book sale Dec. 14 and 15. The sale will take place in the Blocher Community Room during library hours.
