Mad Anthony's Owner Says Elkhart Closure Won't Affect Other Locations

Posted
FORT WAYNE - The closure of the Mad Anthony's Old State Ale House in Elkhart this week doesn't mean anything for other Mad Anthony's locations, according to a Mad Anthony Brewing co-founder.

That includes the Lake City Tap House in Warsaw.Blaine Stuckey told the Times-Union Friday that he has received many calls about the fate of other Mad Anthony locations since the story of the Elkhart restaurants location came out Thursday on South Bend's WNDU.

Stuckey noted that the Old State Ale House was owned and operated as a franchise of the Fort Wayne-originated brewery.

"While we are sad to see the Old State Ale House close, we want Mad Anthony customers and those who enjoy our microbrews to understand that this closing in no way affects our original corporate locations or off-site sales," said Stuckey.

The Mad Anthony Brewing Co. was originally founded in Fort Wayne and operates three corporate stores, including locations in Warsaw and Auburn.

The Warsaw location on Center Street will mark its fifth year in business in March.
