The Kosciusko Community YMCA, in conjunction with Reneker's Sporting Goods, is sponsoring Project Indiana Cares.
The project is a printed T-shirt designed by the Y's property manager, Jack Engler.
The design features all four main military branches surrounding a United States flag with the motto, "It's blood that holds it up there" underneath.
"This is an effort to show our troops in Indiana and abroad that we support their efforts and sacrifices in the cause of freedom for us as well as the people of Iraq," said Y director Tom Garland. "One of our hometown servicemen was among the first to be killed in Operation Iraqi Freedom."
Military support is nothing new to the local Y. While area National Guardsmen served in Iraq, free memberships to the facility were offered to their families.
The Y's goal is to ship 1,000 to 1,500 T-shirts, (or as many as donations will allow) to troops from Indiana stationed in the United States and around the world.
"If you wish to join us in this endeavor, it would be greatly appreciated not only by the Kosciusko Community YMCA but also by all servicemen from Indiana as well as the rest of the country. Anyone who wishes to include their address with their donation will have that address attached to the shirts," Garland said.
Donations can be sent to Kosciusko Community YMCA, 1401 E. Smith St., Warsaw, IN 46580.
