Statewide ISTEP+ scores, released Wednesday to the public by the Indiana Department of Education, are generally holding steady, according to Dr. Suellen Reed, superintendent of public instruction.
In a press release issued yesterday, Reed said this year's scores "mirror" last year's. Scores were expected to be higher this year, she said, but since students were taking ISTEP tests when the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks occurred, concentration may have wavered and students may not have done as well as they would have otherwise.
