Allegations that a police investigation was politically motivated and damaged a local business are the basis for a lawsuit filed this week in federal court.
Jeanette J. Fairchild claims that her business, Dating Dynamics, was damaged after former sheriff Al Rovenstine harassed her and conducted an investigation "based upon lies, false information, made-up tips and otherwise used false and fictitious information."
Also named as defendants in the lawsuit are the city of Warsaw and two other county employees.
An employee of Dating Dynamics was charged with prostitution as a result of the investigation, but those charges have since been dismissed.
