LITE Recovery held a ribbon-cutting on Thursday, Jan. 15 for their new Warsaw location.
The new Regional Recovery Hub, 304 N. Lake St., Suite 5, will be a satellite office for their main office, which is at 210 W. Catherine St., Milford.
“This space is really important to us,” stated Tammy Cotton, founder and executive director of LITE. “A lot of the people we serve are coming out of the county jail, and we wanted to have an easy access point for them to find us.”
Cotton told those in attendance how Shelly Metzger, a certified peer navigator, used to have her office under the stairs at Generous Coffee before finding the location on Lake Street in October.
LITE Recovery serves the unhoused, those in recovery, people re-entering society after being incarcerated and more. They offer resources for those needing help with substance abuse, mental health or just needing help on finding where they can get more help.
“We meet people where they’re at and walk alongside them,” stated Cotton. “All of our employees have lived experience with those we serve.”
