Libertarian To Seek 3rd District Congressional Seat

Libertarian Scott Wise will seek the 3rd District Congressional seat in the Nov. 2 primary.
Mark Souder (R-Fort Wayne) currently holds the seat and is seeking a ninth term. Tom Hayhurst (D) also is seeking the seat.
Wise was selected at the Libertarian Party of Indiana state convention April 24 to run against Souder and Hayhurst.
Wise, Columbia City, is a former Whitley County councilman.
"This election will deliver a large group of new representatives who believe in the Constitution and the founder's intentions," Wise said.
He said the libertarian party stands for the liberty that inspired this nation to achieve greatness and the freedom as individuals that is unique to America.
"If we do not return to our roots and live within our means, hardship will be in America's future for generations to come," Wise said.
