A Leesburg teenager faces charges for allegedly threatening a juror's daughter during the Timothy Grevenstuk trial Monday.
Amanda Johnson, 15, CR 75E, made her first court appearance this morning in Kosciusko Court where it is reported probable cause was established to charge Johnson. She could face at least one charge of obstruction of justice.
Johnson is accused of talking to the daughter of a juror while the two were riding on a school bus from Warsaw Community High School. Johnson allegedly told the girl her mother "had better find Tim not guilty or else."
Johnson was taken into custody Monday night and detained at Parkview Juvenile Detention Center, South Bend.
Since Johnson is a juvenile, the paperwork for the charge will be forwarded to the prosecutor's office. Johnson will be released to her parents later today.
The juror told the court bailiff that Johnson allegedly talked to her daughter, and the bailiff notified Judge Rex Reed. Reed declared a mistrial and said he would reschedule the arson trial for Grevenstuk.
