WINONA LAKE - Lakeland Christian Academy (LCA) announced the completion of a major campus expansion and will host an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, July 25 at 10 a.m.
Bring a pair of scissors if you are interested in participating in the ribbon-cutting, according to a news release from LCA.
The local community, legacy donors, alumni and current families are invited to attend the celebration and tour the newly finished facility at 1093 S. CR 250E, Winona Lake. The new state-of-the-art addition will be the dedicated home for the Early Learning Academy through third grade. Driven by the desire to have the entire student body on one campus and the growing demand for Christian education in the region, the expansion allows LCA to better serve its youngest learners in a customized environment, the release states.
“This new facility represents God’s continued faithfulness to Lakeland Christian Academy and the incredible generosity of our donors and local partners,” said Superintendent Joe Elrod. “Fifty-one years ago, a group of visionaries established LCA in Winona Lake and 26 years ago, we broke ground on our original building to better continue a foundation for academic excellence and discerning faith. Today, we are honored to continue that legacy and open these new doors, providing an environment where our students can grow both academically and spiritually for decades to come.”
The event will recognize DJ Construction along with the many subcontractors and tradesmen who worked tirelessly since the May 2025 groundbreaking to bring the blueprint to life, as well as the hundreds of donors who have faithfully supported this building campaign and historic growth, the release states.
Following the 10 a.m. ribbon-cutting, the building will be open for walkthroughs, allowing the community to view the expanded classrooms, multipurpose spaces and enhanced learning environments before students arrive for the fall semester.
