Lady Tigers Open Track Season With 10-Point WinWarsaw’s girls track team earned a season-opening 71-61 win over visiting Homestead on Tuesday in the first meet held on the new surface at Fisher Field. Abby Curtis was a double-winner for the Lady Tigers, winning the 100-meter dash in 12.61 seconds and the 200 in 26.89 seconds. Mia Beckham won the 800 in 2:26.95, Morgan Bruner won the high jump (5-0) and Joelle Messenger won the pole vault with a leap of 8-6. Shuntera Davis, Maygan Bellamy, Curtis and Makayla Clampitt won the 4x100 relay in 50.64 seconds. Bellamy, Angie Sanchez-Vijil, Kenzie Martz and Remi Beckham won the 4x400 relay in 4:07.59. Warsaw won’t have another meet until after spring break. The Lady Tigers open Northern Lakes Conference competition April 11 at home against Northridge.
