The organization exists to help the women and children of Kosciusko County by holding two consignment sales each year. For the September sale, it is time to clean out the closets and price the Halloween costumes, outgrown snow gear and Holiday dress wear - to name a few items you will find on Sept. 20. The September sale information is as follows: Drop-off gently used items Sept. 18 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sept. 19 from 9 a.m. to noon; volunteer pre-sale, Sept. 19 from 4 to 6 p.m.; consignor pre-sale, Sept. 19 from 6 to 8 p.m.; public sale, Sept. 20 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; 50-percent off sale, Sept. 20 from 3 to 5 p.m.; pick-up, Sept. 21 from 3 to 5 p.m. The deadline for becoming a consignor for the September sale is 5 p.m. Wednesday. If people are interested in becoming a consignor or volunteer for the upcoming sale or want more information about Kids Market, visit kidsmarketinc.com or find Kids Market on Facebook. The consignors are able to sell their items and earn a percentage of the sale. Items are donated to many organizations within Kosciusko County that Kids Market has adopted and after the bills are paid and the organization has budgeted for the next sale, the money that is left over is given away. After the March 2014 sale, Kids Market Inc. donated $12,100 to the following non-profit charities: Project Independence, Beaman Home, Heartline, YMCA Summer Camp Scholarships, New Beginnings Preschool, North Webster Daycare, Baker Youth Club, Teen Parents Succeeding, Fellowship Missions and Little Lambs Preschool. Since its first sale in fall 2001, Kids Market has donated over $179,000 to local organizations. Families that the organization has adopted get the chance to come and pick out clothing for free. Area organizations come to collect multiple boxes of donated items. The organization hears stories about how this sale has helped the women and children that live in the community.
