Authorities report that the results of toxicology tests in the death of Lois Marie Ozenbaugh will not be available for another three weeks.
Ozenbaugh, 11 months, was found dead in her home Jan. 24. Authorities reported that preliminary investigations found cigarettes in the infant's stomach.
The Kosciusko County prosecutor's office released information Friday detailing the delays in the investigation: "...because of the complexities of the case and the potential significant criminal implications the pathologist wishes to devote another three weeks in preparing his report."
Larry Ladd, Kosciusko County coroner, said findings will be released only when a final determination of the cause has been made.
Both county offices report receiving many inquiries concering this case.
