Indiana-American Water Set To Begin Hydrant Flushing On Monday

Indiana-American Water will begin flushing its water distribution system starting Monday and continue through Oct. 30. All times are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The schedule is Monday, everything north of U.S. 30. On Tuesday, West Street to East Clark Street, including Hodges Addition, North Detroit Street south to Canal Street including the entire downtown area. On Wednesday, West Market Street to West Prairie Street and East Smith Street to Winona Lake. The hydrant flushing also will be South Union Street to CR 200S including the schools and Ranch Road. On Thursday, East Fort Wayne Street to Durbin Street, Detroit Street to Argonne Road, and all of Boggs and Phillips Additions. On Friday, all of Winona Lake. On Oct. 29, Parker Street to North Harrison Street, the entire hospital area and Husky Trail including Canterbury Apartments, Kuder Estates and Silver Fox. On Oct. 30, everything east of Argonne Road and Old Road 30 East. Customers may experience periods of discoloration and pressure fluctuation during the flushing period.
