On Sunday, more than 150 members of the community participated in DePuy’s first United Way 5k Walk/Run event.
“One of our oldest and proudest traditions at DePuy is our commitment to help the communities in which we work and live,” said Andrew Ekdahl, president, DePuy Orthopaedics. “In this spirit, we are proud to host the first United Way 5k Walk/Run event to benefit the Kosciusko County United Way organization.”
DePuy employee Jennifer Stouder had the idea to host this event.
“Our goal was to help raise additional funds for this organization in honor of our credo and in addition to our annual United Way employee campaign,” she said. “Our company motto is to ‘never stop moving,’ and so I thought this could both give back to the community as well as motivate employees to be healthy.”
The mission of the United Way of Kosciusko County is to enable sustained and measurable improvements in the quality of life in Kosciusko County by bringing resources together to address community needs.
