IHSAA Announces Boys, Girls Soccer Pairings

The Indiana High School Athletic Association released the sectional pairings Sunday for boys and girls varsity soccer.

The soccer state tournaments begin Oct. 1 and end with the state finals on Oct. 27.

On the boys side, Class 3A No. 12 Warsaw (9-2-5) drew Fort Wayne Wayne in the six-team Homestead Sectional.

The winner of Warsaw and Wayne will face the winner of Huntington North and Fort Wayne North Side in the semifinals. Fort Wayne South and Homestead drew byes and will start play in the semifinals.

The Class 3A No. 8 Warsaw girls team (10-2-1) will host a five-team sectional and play Fort Wayne South Side for the right to face Huntington North, which has a bye.

Manchester’s boys team and the Tippecanoe Valley coed squad are in the six-team Maconaquah Sectional.

The Squires (12-0) will play Peru (1-10), and the Vikings (3-10) will face Maconaquah (6-6).?

If the Vikings win, they’ll play the winner of Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran and Columbia City for the right to face either Manchester or Peru in the sectional title game.

The Lady Squires and Whitko’s girls team (2-10) will play each other in the six-team Canterbury Sectional.

The winner will face either South Adams or Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian.

Lakeland Christian’s boys team (9-3-1) will play host Argos (8-2-4) in a seven-team sectional, and the winner will face North Miami, which has a bye.

The Lady Cougars (9-2-2) drew Elkhart Christian (4-8) in the six-team Westview Sectional.

If they win, they’ll play either Central Noble or Lakewood Park Christian.

The Wawasee boys team (4-10) drew host Angola (7-6) in a six-team sectional.

The Garrett vs. West Noble winner will play the winner of NorthWood vs. Lakeland, and the winner of that contest will play either Wawasee or Angola in the title match.

The Wawasee girls team (2-11-1) also will play Angola (7-6) in the six-team DeKalb Sectional. The winner will play either Lakeland or DeKalb.

Whitko’s boys squad (0-9) drew Lakewood Park Christian (5-6-3) in the six-team Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian Sectional.

If the Wildcats win, they’ll face either South Adams or Fort Wayne Canterbury.
