Indiana Business Opportunity Partners held a charity quarter auction for Joe’s Kids at American Legion Post 49 in Warsaw Tuesday. At Joe’s Kids, special children receive physical, occupational and speech therapy from Joe’s staff of professionals. Joe’s Kids exists to help each child reach their full potential and to support their families along the way, according to a press release provided. With 16 vendors in attendance, there were over 100 items to bid on from direct sales consultants and handmade items from crafters in the IBOP group. The iBOP group raised $1,020 along with a trunkful of donations for Joe’s Kids with this event. A quarter auction is a way to support a charity and maybe pick up some gifts. Tickets are purchased in advance for $5 each as seating is limited. Tickets are $7 at the door if any are remaining. Tickets are then exchanged for a paddle and a numbered ball. When a person decides they want to try to win the item up for bid, they put the appropriate number of quarters in a bucket in the middle of the table and hold their numbered paddle up high. If their numbered ball is drawn and they have bid, they win that item for just two quarters!
