Area residents turned out Thursday evening for the Builders Association of Kosciusko-Fulton Counties' 15th Anniversary VIP Night Celebration of the 2000 Homes On Parade.

Nine homes were toured and those attending were able to view distinct designs and decor and gather their own ideas for remodeling or building their own dream home.

The event took place from 6 to 10 p.m. at Deed's Creek Manor, CR 75N, Warsaw. All nine homes are already sold. Each home had its own unique design and assets. One home had an outside kitchen and hot tub and one an in-ground pool. Builders of the homes included Miller Brother Construction, T.L. Jackson Construction, Ideal Construction, Tom Brovont & Sons, Terry Shepherd Construction, Coplen Construction, Legacy Homes and Swartz Brothers Construction.

The event was hosted by Mutual Federal Savings Bank and sponsored by approximately 50 local businesses. Hors d'oeuvres, chilled wine and punch were served under a large red and white striped tent.

"It's a very special evening," Carol Huffer, executive officer for the Builder's Association, said.

Several local businesses also set up booths displaying their products with drawings that guests could enter to win various items.

The VIP night also included live entertainment from harpist Beth Par, Plymouth.

The homes ranged from 2,700 to 5,000 square feet and the lowest-priced home started at $200,000.

For those who did not attend the VIP night, Huffer said, the 2000 Homes On Parade is open Saturday to Sept. 17 for the public. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the parade site. For more information, contact Huffer and the Builders Association at 267-6125.
