A homeless man is accused of getting drunk at a Warsaw bar, putting a gun to a patron’s head and swinging a knife around.

Tyler Lee Neely, 26, homeless, and also showing an address in Columbia City on arresting papers, was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail at 5:49 a.m. Saturday and faces charges of intimidation with a deadly weapon, a Level 5 felony; criminal recklessness, a Level 6 felony; pointing a firearm, a Class A misdemeanor; carrying a handgun without a license, a Class A misdemeanor; and public intoxication, a Class B misdemeanor.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed Monday in Kosciusko Superior Court II, on Saturday Warsaw police responded to Rex’s Rendezvous and spoke with patrons and viewed video surveillance. Police were informed that Neely was escorted from the establishment after swinging a knife and causing other incidents inside the bar, court papers state.

Other patrons at the bar told police Neely held a gun to a woman’s head while he threatened to “shoot that n*****,” according to the affidavit.

A verbal altercation ensued, according to court papers, resulting in a patron taking the knife away from Neely. Neely then threatened to stab the man, the affidavit states.

Neely’s BAC registered at 0.13%, police records state.

Neely’s bond was set at $5,250.
