Hispanic Health Coalition, YMCA Partner To Offer Health Screenings

Kosciusko Community YMCA and the Northern Indiana Hispanic Health Coalition will be partnering to offer a health fair on Oct. 20 from 8 a.m. to noon.
Free health screenings will be offered including screenings for vision, cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, and HIV.
The health clinic is free and open to everyone of any ethnicity, and screenings will be available for the first 150 people.
The mission of the Northern Indiana Hispanic Health Coalition is to provide preventative healthcare programs to the community through education, advocacy, physician referrals, research, and the building of leadership among Hispanics, so that they may lead healthier lifestyles.
Melding with that mission, one of the YMCA’s areas of focus is healthy living and improving the nation’s health and well-being by providing resources and guidance to maintain or improve health.
The health fair will be at the Kosciusko Community YMCA, 1401 E. Smith St., Warsaw.
