Heart Of 4-H Raises $1,250

Posted
The Kosciusko Heart of 4-H Program raised funds during the Kosciusko County 4-H Fair through a friendly Penny War campaign and also through donations from 43 members of 4-H.
There were also 92 members of 4-H who donated their livestock projects to be donated to local food pantries throughout the county including 177 chickens, 42 turkeys, 450 pounds of ground pork and 400 pounds of ground beef. Recently, the cash donations totaling $1,250 were split between the Salvation Army in Warsaw and Harvest with a Heart in Milford.
4-H symbolizes Head, Heart, Hands and Health. The Heart of 4-H Program was started in 2010 to promote the “Heart” portion of the four H’s through giving back to the community.
Since the start, the program has grown significantly through the generosity of 4-H members. For more information on the Heart of 4-H Program or becoming a 4-H member, contact Purdue Extension at 574-372-2340.
