People who want to get a tattoo will be able to do so at a lower cost when they purchase a toy for less-fortunate children.
Hank's Tattoo, 3865 Lake City Highway, Warsaw, is celebrating its fifth annual Toys For Tatts toy drive.
People are asked to bring in a new toy $50 or less and the business will double its value toward the price of a tattoo. For example, if a person brings in a new toy valued at $20, the business will take $40 off the cost of the tattoo.
The toy collection drive began Nov. 24 and continues until Dec. 22. People can drop off toys at the business Mondays through Thursdays from noon to 8 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 10 p.m.
Customers already have brought in gifts and stuffed animals since the collection began.Hank Hernandez, Hank's Tattoo owner, said the toy drive is an opportunity for customers to save money on a tattoo and bring in toys for children.
When customers bring in toys, they can either get a tattoo that day or schedule an appointment to get a tattoo at a discounted rate.
Last year, there were six families who received toys through the toy drive, according to Hernandez.
He said there are four families who will receive the toys this year. Families to receive the toys are recommended by customers.
Besides toys, each family will receive two pizzas from Pizza Hut and a bag of homemade treats.
Hernandez's brother-in-law, Rick Bradley, dresses up like Santa and delivers the toys Dec. 23 with Hernandez, his wife Janie, and sisters-in-law Vickey Prater and Brandi Bradley.
