Grossnickle Foundation Grants $1,000 To A Rosie Place For Children

The Grossnickle Foundation, a component fund held at the Kosciusko County Community Foundation, recently donated $1,000 to A Rosie Place for Children.
A Rosie Place for Children provides respite care to families with medically fragile children. Children who are medically fragile require a skilled level of care to meet their everyday needs. A Rosie Place for Children is a home away from home where there are special activities for each child and relationships are built, according to a news release from the Kosciusko County Community Foundation. They provide a short-term place for children to stay where the children will be treated with the medical care they need.
“The employees of GEC love A Rosie Place for Children because they provide a service families so desperately need. The children are able to go to ‘camp’ and it gives the family a much-needed break from the rigorous normal routine,” said Josh Gordon, COO, CFO, at Grossnickle Eye Center.
In addition to supporting A Rosie Place for Children, The Grossnickle Foundation recently supported 26 organizations with donations totaling $31,000.
The Grossnickle Foundation was created by funds from Doctors Paul, Steve and Bruce Grossnickle with the purpose of giving back to the communities that gave them so much. Grossnickle Eye Center employees can contribute to the fund through payroll deduction and can nominate nonprofits to receive grants from the fund.
