WINONA LAKE - Chelsea Hershberger and Alexis Lisenbee, Jefferson Elementary School fifth-graders, will be distributing information Saturday about WRSW's Food-A-Thon.
The girls plan to make giving nonperishable food items and monetary donations more convenient because they'll be happy to collect these items Nov. 9, in advance of the radio station's 36-hour event Nov. 12 and 13.
The Food-A-Thon is a live broadcast, hosted by general manager Pat Brown, from 6 a.m. Tuesday through 6 p.m. Wednesday.
All the proceeds and food collected will be distributed in Kosciusko County.
Donations also can be dropped off at Combined Community Services, 110 E. Prairie Street in Warsaw.
