Giverny Fitness Studio Hosts 4th Annual Party In Pink

The fourth annual Party in Pink Zumbathon Charity Event will be this month. The event is Oct. 12 from 8 to 9:30 p.m. at Giverny Fitness Studio in downtown Warsaw. Zumba and hip-hop instructors from Giverny have put together an evening of the latest club music, Latin-inspired rhythms and moves. Party in Pink is part dancing, part fitness. Everyone is invited to wear pink and dance the night away under the pink lights in the loft studio. Funds raised at the Party in Pink will go to the new Zumba Global Research Grant for Breast Cancer Prevention. The grant is the first-ever medical research grant named for the Zumba program. The grant will study the effects of flaxseed consumption on pre-menopausal women as a low-cost, highly accessible solution to help prevent breast cancer on a global scale. Through the Party in Pink campaign, Zumba Fitness and its network of instructors and fans can help fund this research with the goal of reaching $1 million in 2013, and the ultimate goal of helping to prevent breast cancer worldwide. Bracelets supporting the Cancer Care Fund of Kosciusko County also will be on sale at the event. The colorful beaded bracelets represent each type of cancer. Bracelets are $20, and the full purchase price will go directly into the local Cancer Care Fund. Tickets for the Party in Pink are $10 and can be purchased at Giverny Fitness Studio, 207 S.
