Fur Ball to Benefit Homeless Pets

Posted
Money raised from this Saturday’s Fur Ball will help the homeless pets in Kosciusko County.

The sixth annual Animal Welfare League Fur Ball will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Toyota dealership on Ind. 15 across from Walmart and Mutual Bank.

Tickets can be purchased at the door that evening, or purchase a reservation by calling 574-267-3008.

This event gains in popularity and excitement each year, according to AWL Director Darla McCammon.

Casual attire is welcome. There will be appetizers with an international flair, great music from the Michele Payton band, lots of activities and friends to enjoy.

The silent auction has tons of neat stuff from helicopter rides to field level suite tickets to football games, to dental treatments, to unbelievable mosaic bird baths to exquisite jewelry, to party baskets, pet supplies, and way too much to list here, she said.

A live auction will generate some excitement of the larger items and some specially made and unique dog houses.

The Animal Welfare League is a not-for-profit that helps pets and people. This year the AWL needs support more than ever, McCammon said.

Anyone who can not attend should consider sending a donation, but more importantly, come out in person, enjoy the evening, and show the community we need this organization and that we appreciate the great job they are doing for all of us, McCammon said.
