SYRACUSE - A Syracuse woman is dead following a two-vehicle accident Friday on Ind. 13 near Syracuse.
Angie Smith, 25, of Syracuse, died Friday of injuries suffered in the 2:57 p.m. accident at Ind. 13 and South Shore Drive, according to the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department.
Smith suffered multiple internal injuries and was airlifted from the scene to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, where she was later pronounced dead.
The second driver, Lesley K. Meyer, 37, of Cromwell, suffered minor injuries. She was treated and released at Goshen General Hospital.
The sheriff's department was assisted at the scene by Syracuse police and fire departments, Syracuse EMS and Samaritan. The accident remains under investigation.
