Four Arrested for Drugs at Area Hotels over Weekend

Posted
Warsaw Police Department made four arrests at local hotels this weekend.

Juan P. Olivo, 35,  Milford, and Jaime Bozzo,  36, Warsaw, were arrested for possession of marijuana.

Additionally, Steven DeWayne Stanley, 42, and Carrie Timmons, 35, both of Warsaw, were arrested for dealing methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school.

Warsaw Police Dept. drug officers were called to the Super 8 Motel Sunday evening.

Late Sunday evening, information was received of subjects in a room at the Super 8 Motel on Frontage Road, Warsaw, involved in drug activity. Warsaw drug officers located marijuana, needles and an unidentified substance that is yet to be tested.

Olivo and Bozzo were allegedly in possession of those items, and were taken into custody. They were held on preliminary charges of possession of marijuana. Additional charges will be considered upon further investigation.

Drug officers also were called for a methamphetamine lab at the Economy Inn on Lake City Highway Sunday.

Warsaw police were called to the hotel after receiving information from an outside source that a meth lab was in one of the rooms.
Upon arrival, investigators found two subjects inside a motel room, in the process of manufacturing methamphetamine.

Precursors and items associated with the manufacture, sale and possession of the illegal drug also were located. In the room, officers also found Xanax, Methadone and Oxycontin.

Stanley and Timmons  were found in the room. Stanley was attempting to hide himself and a “cooking lab” in the bathroom when confronted.

Both were booked into the Kosciusko County Jail Sunday evening for charges of dealing, delivery and manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of precursors with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine.  All charges are felonies.

Because of the proximity to a schools, parks, or a public housing apartment complex, Eastgate Apartments, the charges are enhanced, making the potential penalties greater.

An Indiana State Police methamphetamine clean up  team was called to clean up the hazardous materials found at the scene.
