SEVASTOPOL - A Fort Wayne woman is in fair condition after a Friday night accident in southwestern Kosciusko County.
Natasha Sriver, 26, was airlifted from the scene of the 10:14 p.m. accident at the intersection of CRs 700S and 1000W at Sevastopol. She was in stable condition Friday night and has since been upgraded.
According to a press release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, Sriver was westbound approaching the intersection when she apparently failed to yield to a northbound vehicle driven by Jennifer Yeiter, 17, of Warsaw.
Sriver was trapped inside the wreckage of her vehicle until a Mentone Fire Department crew was able to free her with the help of a hydraulic extrication tool.
Yeiter suffered minor injuries and was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, for treatment, according to police.
Also assisting at the scene were personnel from Indiana State Police and Mentone and Multi-Township emergency medical services.
The accident remains under investigation.
