Former Warsawan Takes A Swat At Repelling Bugs

Posted

Ryan Stagg, originally from Warsaw, came up with a way to fight pesky bugs. Stagg invented the "Bug Button," manufactured and distributed through Evergreen Research of San Diego, Calif.

The Bug Button is made from all-natural products and is used to fight mosquitoes, bees, flies, gnats, yellow jackets, fleas and other insects. To use the button, just pin it on and the active ingredients go to work for 60 to 70 hours.

Active ingredients include Indonesian lemongrass oil, Philippine geranium oil and North American citronella oil.

The natural botanicals are infused into the Bug Button, which looks like a small plastic disc.

Stagg's design is safe and allows those who use it to avoid sprays and lotions. The Bug Button just pins on clothing or hats. When not using the insect fighter, place it in a plastic bag to preserve the active ingredients.

The bug button has a lemon fragrance, is waterproof, ozone safe, nontoxic and does not leave an oily mess.

Stagg's product is in its third year of worldwide sales and has sold more than 28 million units.
