Former Warsaw Couple’s Death Remains Under Investigation In WashingtonNo official cause of death has been released regarding a former Warsaw couple who died in Tacoma, Wash.
Tacoma Police Department Public Information Officer Loretta Cool said this morning that the cause of death for Thomas Tuggle, 37, and Mary Hoffer, 41, would eventually be released by the medical examiner’s office, which was not open yet this morning due to the three-hour time difference.
A news release provided by Cool states that at 2:15 p.m. Saturday, Tacoma police responded to the 800 block of South Eighth Street to conduct a welfare check. The caller was concerned about the well-being of a female friend who had not arrived for a meeting and had not called.
Police officers discovered two dead people in the residence, later identified as Tuggle and Hoffer.
Detectives were called to conduct an investigation. Forensics responded to process the scene.
The investigation is in the preliminary stage, according to Cool’s news release.
