Festival of Trees Begins Today, Runs Through Weekend in Winona Lake

WINONA LAKE – The annual Festival of Trees begins today and runs through this weekend at Rodeheaver Auditorium in Winona Lake.
Proceeds from the event benefit The Beaman Home, a shelter for women and children who are victims of domestic violence.
Hours today and Friday are from noon to 8 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Admission is $3 for adults, $1 for seniors 65 and older, children ages 6-12 get in for $1; and ages up to 5 get in for free.
Festival of Trees features 40 designer trees for auction and sale decked out for the holidays by local decorators.
Specialty designed wreaths and table top trees will be available for purchase.
The trees will be displayed at the annual Winona Lake Community Dinner at 6:30 tonight at Rodeheaver Auditorium.
On Friday, there is the Red Hat Society Christmas Tea from 2 to 4 p.m. Advanced registration is required by calling 877-725-9363.
Santa and his reindeer will make a stop in Winona Lake Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Activities include a visit with Santa and the reindeer with pictures, arts and crafts, miniature train rides and a Christmas Candy Shoppe.
Willie 103.5 and WRSW will broadcast live from 10 a.m. to noon.
A Holiday Extravaganza is Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. featuring student artists from Deb Collier School of Dance and Ellis Music Studio.
