FBI Task Force Officer To Present On Sex Trafficking Epidemic

Posted
WINONA LAKE – Human sex trafficking is a growing epidemic in the country.

The nature of this modern-day slavery is that it is performed in secret, often in the dark, and therefore usually goes unnoticed.  But it doesn’t have to, according to a news release from Grace College.

Grace, in partnership with the Bethel College School of Nursing, will host a forum to equip students, faculty and staff, and the general public with tools to recognize and help fight sex trafficking. The forum will take place at 1 p.m. Friday in the Grace College McClain Auditorium.

FBI Task Force Officer Chris McCarty, from the Indianapolis Division, will present an overview of sex trafficking for approximately one hour, followed by question and answers from the audience.

RSVPs are requested but not required for this event.  To RSVP or for more information, email Chable Johnson at johnsoc@grace.edu.

The McClain Auditorium, located in McClain Hall, is accessible via Wooster Road or Kings Highway.
