A dozen Warsaw businesses are partnering with Fast Cab this New Year’s Eve to provide safe transportation. This is the 20th year the Warsaw cab company has offered free rides to and from sponsoring businesses, to encourage partygoers to leave their car keys in their pockets. The number of riders has grown so much that Fast Cab will offer rides for an extra two hours, owner Dave Cesaretti said Thursday. New Year’s Eve celebrants can call 574-269-2222 Monday between 6 p.m. and 3 a.m. for a ride to a participating bar or from the bar back home. Party buses also are available for large groups. There is an additional charge for going outside the Warsaw-Winona Lake area. Cesaretti said the sponsors “have been really generous helping getting this thing going. It’s a challenge because more and more people want a ride ... the phones were ringing off the wall last year. “The hours are longer than usual because we want the bars to have a really good night,” he added. Participating businesses are Nelson Beverage, Rex’s Rendezvous, Susie’s Sandbar and Grill, Time Out, Liquid Assets, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Warsaw Bowl, Moose Lodge, Service Liquors, Eagles and Clevenger Insurance.
