ETNA GREEN - Heritage Park in Etna Green has a new football field.
The field is for the Marshall County Junior Football League and is named "Triton Junior Football Field at Heritage Park."
"The league realized that the area high schools and middle schools fields were becoming increasingly more difficult to reserve and needed a field of their own," said Etna Green Town Council President Todd Slabaugh.
A concession stand was built as well as goal posts, a lighted score board and bleachers. Fencing will be added as funds become available.
The league includes Triton and Marshall County, Warsaw, Wawasee, Tippy Valley, Plymouth, Laville, Knox, John Glenn and Culver.
"The town of Etna Green is very fortunate to have been selected for this venture to foster sports activity for our youth and it is hoped all will patronize their games," Slabaugh said.
