Ella Manns, 66, Warsaw, went to be with the Lord at 3:05 a.m. July 20, 2014, at her residence with her loved ones by her side.
She was born Feb. 4, 1948, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Harry and Polly Hale Prater. On Aug. 26, 1965, she married Lawrence Manns, who survives in Warsaw.
She and her husband were the owners and operators of Manns Kountry Kitchen Restaurant, Silver Lake. For more than 20 years, she and Lawrence enjoyed serving the community. She greatly appreciated the many customers who not only became friends, but also felt like family. She enjoyed vacationing in Gatlinburg, Tenn., spending time with her family and friends and attending services at First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County, Claypool.
She also leaves behind three sons: Kenneth (and spouse Mina) Manns, Wabash; Bernard (and spouse Susan) Manns, Silver Lake; Dustin Manns (and Chelsie Creekmore), Warsaw; two granddaughters: Ashlie and Marcy Manns; one grandson, Braxton Manns; and her brother, AC Prater, Rochester. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and her sister. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with Pastor Terry Bradford officiating. Graveside services are at Akron Cemetery.
Calling is from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
