NAPPANEE - An Elkhart man was arrested early Friday morning for allegedly firing shots at a Nappanee apartment building.
Jason Allen Badgerow, 25, Elkhart, was booked into Elkhart County Jail and charged with criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.
Nappanee Police Department responded to a call at 701 Bison Ridge at 1:04 a.m. Friday after the caller stated a male subject was outside their apartment with a gun.
That man, later identified as Badgerow, allegedly threatened to come over with a gun earlier in the evening.
Before Nappanee officers arrived on scene, Badgerow left in a vehicle. Eventually, the vehicle, with two females inside with Badgerow, was pulled over in Elkhart. The two females in the car were released.
A handgun was located in the car, and a check showed it was stolen out of Cass County, Michigan.
The case was forwarded to the Elkhart County Prosecutor's Office.
Badgerow is currently being held without bond until a probable cause hearing today.
